Kollavarsham 1003 (A.D. 1827):
The birth of Kuthakkakkaran Sekharan Channar, who later became the Karanavar of Alummoottil. He played a crucial role in the family’s wealth acquisition and prominence.
Circa A.D. 1875:
Sekharan Channar completely withdrew from the liquor-leasing business due to changes in Abkari laws and the resignation of Sir T. Madhavarayar as Diwan.
Kollavarsham 1054 (A.D. 1878):
Registration of the “Nischayapathram” (deed of arrangement) by Valiyakunju Shankaran Channar, dividing the Taravad property. This deed became a point of contention in subsequent years.
Kollavarsham 1062 (Chingam month, A.D. 1886):
Kuthakkakkaran Sekharan Channar assumed the position of Karanavar of the Alummoottil family following the death of Mathevan Kochukunju Channar. He officially took over all Taravad properties with a power of attorney.
Kollavarsham 1062 (Dhanu month, A.D. 1886):
Property management of Alummoottil passed fully into the control of Sekharan Channar. This marked the beginning of his reforms and property expansions.
Kollavarsham 1065 (Makaram 19, A.D. 1889):
District Judge W.T.A. Koshy ruled in favor of Kuthakkakkaran Sekharan Channar in a civil suit challenging the validity of the 1054 Nischayapathram. The court affirmed that the plaintiff, as Karanavar, had rightful control over the Taravad properties.
A.D. 1895:
The large four-winged nalukettu structure of the Alummoottil family was roofed with tiles, potentially as a protective measure after an attempted arson by a neighboring family.
A.D. 1916:
A property dispute arose between members of Alummoottil and Patittathil branches, leading to a court case that lasted over twenty years. Eventually, the Alummoottil side prevailed.
Kollavarsham 1103 (A.D. 1927):
Division of the Alummoottil family property (Alohari). This event formalized the partitioning of assets among family members.
